As a 49 year old Certified Personal Trainer with over 20 years experience, I can attest to one thing. As we age, our fitness routine should evolve. What was effective in our 20's will simply not garner the same results as we age.


There are differing opinions among fitness professionals regarding the most effective workout for those over 40. I can only share mine, so here we go.

I know what you're thinking. "HIIT is only for the fit, young, & super athletic". Incorrect!

Age is just a number, and when it comes to HIIT, it’s more about how you approach it, but make sure you consult a medical professional first.
